HAWKSBASKETBALL
ASSOCIATION, INC.
is a non-profit organization (Oct.04') and is
now going into our 12th year!!! The program was
started in 1994 by Bob Gaydos and has grown each
year. Since our inception we have maintained our
goal to provide High School varsity basketball
players with a high level of competition and a
"Pre-Season" to their regular season.
In 2002, we added a "FALL-BALL
CLASSIC" &
SPRING-SLAMFEST
Girl's Varsity program and both were a huge success.
We also kicked off the Boy's Varsity Summer League
(SUMMER-SLAMFEST)
in 2003 and it was fantastic! We expect the same
success as we have had in the past with the "FALL-BALL
CLASSIC".
NOTE:
Because
of the demand, in 2005, we've changed the format
of the SPRING-SLAMFEST
to allow boys (16u/14u) and girls (17u/15u) AAU/High
School teams. Spring-SlamFest
Info
Without question, the "FALL-BALL
CLASSIC" has
become the best high school varsity league in
the tri-state area and since we (East Coast) have
the best basketball in the country, we can say
that
HAWKSBASKETBALL
has "The Best Varsity Basketball Leagues
On The Planet." The Girls & Boys SPRING-SLAMFEST
& Boys Varsity SUMMER-SLAMFEST
are already solid programs in the state with great
competition.
Boys
and Girls players and teams that have participated
are from local and other area high schools such
as Woodbridge, Edison, 2003
Group III NJSIAA State Champion Franklin Warriors,
East Brunswick, Colonia, 2004
NJSIAA State Sectional (Central Group II) Champion,
New Brunswick HS, Marist (Bayonne), JP

State Sectional (North) Champion Plainfield HS,

and Perth Amboy. A lot of our players have gone
onto Div. I, II & III programs over the past
few years and even a few are now in the NBA!
HAWKSBASKETBALL
has grown each year. Over the past few years,
many Division I,II & III college coaches and
scouts have been in our stands. In fact, college
scouts and coaches, and sports recruiting services
are in attendance at our games regularly! They
are very excited about the league and the level
of play.
A
stat that is amazing is that over the last two
years, over 79% of the teams that play in the
HAWKSBASKETBALL
Leagues have qualified to play in the NJSIAA
State Tournament!
HAWKSBASKETBALL
is definitely a league to be in if you want to
be seen. Now on any given night there could be
a Division I coach/scout in the stands! Division
II/III schools are represented almost every night.
On a few occasions we've even had NBA scouts and
assistant coaches on hand.
In
2002/03, we added the Girl's Varsity Division
"FALL-BALL
CLASSIC"/SPRING-SLAMFEST.
Teams included have been from: Woodbridge, Colonia,
JF Kennedy (Iselin), 2003/2004/2005
Middlesex County Champion and 2004 NJSIAA North

Immaculata, St. Peter's (Staten Island), Linden,

great and very competitive. It will only get better!
