#1 NJ Demons End Perfect!

#1 NJ Demons 47 - #2 Hunterdon 29

The Demons ended their season with a perfect 11-0 record to grab the title for the 3rd annual Spring-SlamFest! Kelly Scott (10pts/3rebs/2stls/1asst) led a balanced scoring attack the Hunterdon just couldn't match. The Demons played terrific team defense and held a usually potent Hunterdon offense to less than 30pts for the first time this season. Megan Finch had (8pts) for the Horizon.

Double OT Win For Hunterdon!

Demons 58 - East Brunswick 44

In spite of Megan Mayo's (22pts/6rebs/1blk/1stl) outstanding effort, the Demons remained perfect with their 10th win in a row! Amy Bonk (16pts/10rebs/3assts) and Kaitlyn Fiorino (15pts/9rebs/1blk/3stls) provided most of the damage for the Demons.

Hunterdon 42 - South Plainfield 41

The crowd was wild, the tension was thick and the game went down to the buzzer! It took two overtimes for Hunterdon to exact it's revenge on an earlier defeat to the hands of South Plainfield. Jess Imhoff and Caitlen Miscill each had (10pts) in the win. The game was excited from tip to final buzzer and it was sad that one of these teams had to get knocked out.

First Round Playoffs!

East Brunswick 51 - Rising Stars 43

Candice Green (13pts/5rebs/1stl/4assts) and Megan Mayo (9pts/6stls/1asst) gave the Bears enough of a boost to ground the Rising Stars. Neijah Barnes had (11pts) for the Stars. East Brunswick moves onto the Quarterfinals to play the Demons on Thursday night.

South Plainfield 54 - Woodbridge 23

South Plainfield easily disposed of Woodbridge early in this one as Amber Hartmann (16pts/7rebs/1blk/2stls) led all scorers for SP. Niya Santiago also threw in (11pts) for the Tigers in the win. MaryLynn Skarzenski had (10pts/8rebs/3stls) for the Barrons. South Plainfield moves onto the Quarterfinals vs Hunterdon on Thursday night.

Hunterdon 28 - Runnin' Rebels 25

Jess Imhoff's (12pts/6rebs/1blk/4stls/1asst) effort was enough to slip by the Rebels in the closest game of the evening. Lacey McConkey and Letitia Torres each had (8pts) for the Rebels. Hunterdon moves onto play in the Quarterfinals vs South Plainfield on Thursday night.

Demons 56 - Colonia 30

The Demons picked up their 9th straight victory to move into the Quarterfinals vs East Brunswick. Maura Gibolly had (14pts/2rebs/3stls/2assts) for the Demons. Courtney Barnes had (10pts) for Colonia in the loss.

Demons On Top At 8-0!

Demons 51 - Colonia 38

Maura Galewly (20pts/7rebs/1blk/2stl) led the way for the Demons to remain undefeated in this year's Slam-Fest! Amanda Sepulveda (13pts/3rebs/4stls/6assts) also turned in a terrific all around performance in the win. Rosalin Martin had (11pts) for Colonia.

Rising Stars 42 - Runnin' Rebels 30

Led by Courtney Haskins' (17pts/4rebs/2stls) the Rising Stars were able to close out the Rebels 42-30. Melissa Baus had (13pts) for the Rebels.

Hunterdon 68 - Woodbridge 33

Hunterdon's Jamie Bush's (23pts/5rebs/2stls/1asst) nulified Woodbridge's MaryLynn Skarzenski's (18pts/10rebs/9stls/3assts). Two outstanding outings with Hunterdon easily taking the win. Bush nailed (7) 3pters in the game.

South Plainfield 43 - East Brunswick 28

South Plainfield's Blaire Houston (17pts/3rebs/8stls/2assts) and Niya Santiago (14pts/2stls) were the scoring combination that put away the Lady Bears of East Brunswick. Megan Mayo led East Brunswick with (10pts).

Rising Stars 38 - Woodbridge 33

Kaitlin Capriccio (11pts/4rebs/4stls) was the leading lady for the Rising Stars as they downed the Barrons 38-33 tonight. MaryLynn Skarzenski had (17pts/5rebs/1blk/5stls/2assts) for the Lady Barrons.

Colonia 34 - Edison 27

Colonia grabbed their first win tonight with their victory over Edison. Tierra Gaines (12pts/2rebs/1blk) led the way. Heather Dauber had (13pts) for Edison in the loss.

NJ Demons 49 - Hunterdon 45

Mary Kate Dugan (16pts/11rebs/2blks/1stl/1asst) was a handful for the Horizon tonight. The Demons pounded the boards tonight outrebounding Hunterdon 28-9. That dominance of the boards kept the Demons out in front all night. With the win the Demons clinch the top seed in the Spring-SlamFest playoffs.

East Brunswick 61 - Runnin' Rebels 43

Megan Mayo (15pts), Anna Cheshekova (14pts) and Candice Green (13pts) all rallied along with their teammates to push the Bears past the Rebels. Lacey McConkey had (19pts) in the win.

East Brunswick 49 - Rising Stars 47

A good performance by the Lady Bears, led by Megan Mayo (19pts/4rebs/1stl) and Laura Petriello (13pts/10rebs/2stls/3assts) pushed them past the Rising Stars 49-47. Courtney Haskins (18pts) led the Stars.

Hunterdon 56 - Colonia 16

Hunterdon's Caitlin Meskill (10pts/3rebs) was the leading role player in a balanced attack, in tonight's win over Colonia.

Woodbridge 36 - Edison 35

Woodbridge squeaked by Edison with MaryLynn Skarzenski's (18pts/4rebs/2blks/6stls/2assts) and Danielle King (9pts/5rebs/2blks/5stls) leading the way. Heather Dauber (12pts) topped the Lady Eagles.

NJ Demons 46 - South Plainfield 39

Amanda Sepulveda (10pts/2stls/2assts) and Chanel Gomez (8pts/6rebs/1blk) helped the Demons spook the Lady Tigers 46-39. Nyia Santiago (18pts) led the Tigers.

Runnin' Rebels 34 - Edison 31

Lacey McConkey (12pts/10rebs/2blks/2stls/1asst) was huge in the Rebels victory over Edison tonight. Melissa Baus (8pts/1reb/2blks/3stls/4assts) also had a nice all-around effort for the Rebels. Kate Shutz (14pts/5rebs/3stls) led the Lady Eagles.

South Plainfield 32 - Colonia 21

South Plainfield's Niya Santiago (12pts/3rebs/1stl) and Blaire Houston (10pts/2stls/2assts) led the way to the Lady Tigers 4th win. Simone Smith (9pts/7rebs/3blks) was helping the Patriots hold ground.

Hunterdon 41 - East Brunswick 34

Hunterdon's Megan Finch (13pts/1reb) helped give East Brunswick's Lady Bears their first defeat. In spite of Megan Mayo's (17pts) the Lady Bears couldn't overcome the Red Devils, who just wouldn't go away.

NJ Demons 51 - Woodbridge 31

The Demon's swished past the shorthanded Woodbridge Lady Barrons 51-31 led by Kaitlyn Fiorino (15pts/3rebs/3assts), Jill Dickenson (12pts/8rebs/3blks/1stl) and Amy Bonk (10pts/6rebs/2stls/4assts). Woodbridge's Danielle King had (13pts) in the loss.

East Brunswick 48 - Edison 40

In spite of the terrific second half comeback of Edison, the Lady Bears held on to win 47-40 tonight over the Lady Eagles of Edison. Megan Mayo (18pts/1reb/3stls) provided the spark for the Bears and Heather Dauber (17pts) kept the Eagles in it till the end.

South Plainfield 25 - Hunterdon 24

South Plainfield slipped by previously unbeaten Hunterdon 25-24. Blaire Houston's (9pts/1reb/4stls/1asst) led the Lady Tigers.

Rising Stars 37 - Colonia 30

Kait Capriccio (12pts/4rebs/3stls) and Courtney Haskins (11pts/2rebs/1blk) led the way for the Stars past Colonia. Teaira Gaines had (13pts) in the loss.

The Barrons' defeated their cross town rivals by two in a back and forth battle. MaryLynn Skarzenski (10pts/4rebs/2stls) and Beth Fenton (8pts/3rebs/1stl) led Woodbridge. Tiffany Morgan had (10pts/6rebs) for Colonia.

South Plainfield 1 - Runnin' Rebels 0

South Plainfield won by forfiet over the Runnin' Rebels tonight.

Hunterdon Horizon 55 - Edison 17

Jess Imhoff (11pts/1blk/1asst) led all scorers in the win for Hunterdon over Edison.

NJ Demons 68 - Edison 35

Kaitlyn Fiorino (17pts/7rebs/2stls/1asst) and Amy Bonk (12pts/3rebs/5stls) led the way for the Demons as they stormed past the Eagles 68-35. Samantha Grippo had 12pts in the loss for Edison.

The Demons' Amanda Sepulveda (13pts/1asst) and Avery Gardner (9pts/2rebs/1blk/1asst) pushed the tempo against the Runnin' Rebels as they come out of the gate 2-0 to start the season. The Rebel's Lacey McConkey (23pts/10rebs/2blks) topped all scorers.

South Plainfield 40 - Edison 25

Darice Bishop (11pts/4rebs/3stls) led the Lady Tigers to their first win over Edison. Kate Shutz (10pts/4rebs) led Edison in the loss.

Hunterdon Horizon 46 - Rising Stars 21

Hunterdon's Kelsey Cappelle (16pts/4rebs/2blks/2stls/1asst) terrific all around effort helped Hunterdon grab their second victory of the season. Samantha Grippo had (7pts) for the Rising Stars.

East Brunswick 36- Woodbridge 33

Megan Mayo (15pts/5rebs/1stl/1asst) and Laura Petriello (8pts/3rebs/3stls/1asst) once again led the scoring for the Bears as the held off Woodbridge 36-33. Marylynn Skarzenski (12pts/2rebs/3stls) helped Woodbridge keep pace.

Megan Mayo (16pts/5rebs/3stls/1asst) and Laura Petriello (10pts/5rebs/1stl/2assts) led the scoring for the Bears as the held off the Patriots 49-34 in the opening game of the season. Courtney Barnes had (8pts/5rebs/1blk/2stls/2assts) for the Patriots.

NJ Demons 72 - Edison 38

6'2" Chanel Gomez (16pts/8rebs/4blks/1stl) and Amanda Sepulveda (14pts/5assts) gave the Demons the spark they needed to ground the Eagles. Jasmine Tooles also added (10pts) and grabbed (11rebs) for the Demons. Heather Dauber led the way for Edison with (11pts).

Hunterdon Horizon 39 - Runnin' Rebels 16

Hunterdon's Jamee Bush (12pts/1reb/4stls) and Liz Kowaz (10pts/2rebs/1stl/1asst) was the one, two punch that knocked off the Rebels. The Rebels' Lacey McConkey had 8pts in the loss.

Rising Stars 43 - South Plainfield 41

In the tightest game of the night, the Rising Stars, led by Kaitlin Capriccio's (19pts/9rebs/3stls) slipped past South Plainfield 43-41. Blaire Houston had (12pts/4rebs/8stls/2assts) for the Lady Tigers.
