#4 Tornadoes Grab Title!

#4 Tornadoes (A) 69 - #3 Hawks 65

Joe Lupo (20pts/3rebs/1blk/2stls/1asst) and Shamar Graves (16pts/9rebs/1stl/2assts) grabbed the Hawks attention early and finished the game strong as they led their team to the first Spring-SlamFest boys title ever! Bobby Dunn (15pts) also started off hot nailing 4 tre's in a row to keep the Hawks off balance. Mike Oglesby (20pts) and Brian Kelly (19pts) led the Hawks in a losing effort.

#4 Tornadoes Stun #1 Panthers!

#4 Tornadoes (A) 69 - #1 Panthers 59

Joe LaSalle (20pts/7rebs) came up with his best effort of the season to help the Tornadoes defeat the #1 Panthers! Bobby Dunn also chipped in with (15pts) for the Tornadoes. Wesley George had (16pts) for the Panthers in the loss. The Tornadoes will be taking on the #3 CJ Hawks for the 16u Championship on Wednesday.

CJ Hawks 61 - #7 Runnin' Rebels 34

After a stunning victory over the #2 Warriors last week, the Rebels couldn't repeat the effort vs the #3 seed, CJ Hawks. Led by Brian Kelly's (18pts/4rebs/2assts) and Mike Henry's (12pts/6rebs/1asst) the Hawks easily handled the Rebels to get to the Spring-SlamFest Finals vs the Tornadoes. Mike Guzman had (8pts) for the Rebels.

#4 Tornadoes (A) 64 - #5 Tornadoes (B) 54

Obi Nwizugho (15pts/9rebs/2stls) and Joe LaSalle (11pts/4rebs) whisked the (A) by the (B) 64-54. Luke Shulman and Jay Cimino had (14pts/13pts) respectively.

#7 Runnin' Rebels 42 - #2 CJ Warriors 34

In the upset of the evening, the Runnin' Rebels easily handled the #3 CJ Warriors. The Rebels were led by guard Mike Guzman (9pts/7rebs/1stl/9assts) whose outstanding play dominated the game. The Warriors top dogs were Aquil Smith and Giovanni Carenza whom each had (8pts).

#3 CJ Hawks 59 - #6 NJ Demons 48

Mike Oglesby (15pts/15rebs/3blks/1asst) and Brian Kelly (15pts) pushed the Hawks past the Demons. Temagara Fils-Aine had (14pts) for the Demons.

#1 CJ Panthers 56 - #8 NJ All-Stars 26

Wesley George's (19pts/6rebs/1asst) was the top job by the Panthers in their victory over the NJ All-Stars. Antwan Haynes had (9pts) in a lossing effort for the All-Stars.

Runnin' Rebels 65 - NJ All-Stars 49

Mike Guzman (12pts/3rebs) and Connor Mahoney (10pts/2rebs/1blk) topped the Rebels scorers and put the "W" in the bank as the Rebels defeated the All-Stars 65-49. Chris Matagrano had (13pts) for the All-Stars.

CJ Warriors 58 - Hunterdon 37

In spite of Mike Waulkle's (14pts/3rebs) the Warriors stampeded Hunterdon 58-37. Giovanni Carenza (11pts/5rebs/3blks/4stls/2assts) led the Warriors to the easy win.

Brendan Brown (18pts/4rebs/2blks/4assts) and Joe LaSala (15pts/5rebs/2blks/1stl/1asst) helped the Tornadoes storm past the Panthers 59-50 in 16u Boys action last night. Ian Turnbull (20pts) led the Panthers.

NJ All Stars 15 - CJ Panthers (B) 0

The All-Stars won by forfeit over the Panthers.

CJ Hawks 76 - NJ Demons 42

With Mathew Kelly (16pts/3rebs/2blks/2stls) and Mike Oglesby (12pts/9rebs/2blks/2stls/2assts) leading the way, the Hawks soared past the Demons 76-42. Thermagard El-Fishame had (18pts) for the Demons.

Tornadoes (B) 71 - Runnin' Rebels 48

Vince Rosario (27pts/5rebs/2stls/1asst) turned in a stellar performance to lead the Tornadoes past the Rebels. Tim Brechbueler (16pts/4rebs/3blks/1asst) also turned in a solid effort for the Tornadoes. Bryan Godfrey (15pts) led the Rebels

CJ Panthers 53 - CJ Warriors 52

Khaliff Forstur (18pts/8rebs) and Khamell Broughton (15pts/5rebs) helped seal the deal as they led the Panthers to their 6th victory and handing the Warriors their first loss of the season. With the win, the Panthers gain first place in the Spring-SlamFest. The Warriors, Aquil Smith (19pts/6rebs) led all scorers.

Tornadoes (A) 75 - Jersey All-Stars 58

Joe LaSalle (14pts/5rebs) and Bob Dunn (13pts) got the Tornadoes past the All-Stars. Antwan Haynes (19pts) led the All-Stars. Side Note: There were 17 - 3pt shots made during this game, 5 by Antwan Haynes of the All-Stars!

Mike Oglesby (10pts/14rebs/1blk/2assts) helped the Hawks soar past the Panthers (B). Gerard Lewis (13pts) topped the Panthers.

Smith Explodes With 29!

CJ Warriors 62 - Runnin' Rebels 56

Aquil Smith j(29pts/5rebs/3stls/3assts) stole the show in this one nailing down 5 tre's in this one. Smith split his scoring with 15 first half points and 14 pts down the stretch. Bryan Godfrey kept the Rebels in striking range with (15pts) but it wasn't enough for the Rebels to pull it out.

CJ Hawks 67 - Tornadoes (A) 49

Brian Kelly (19pts/2rebs/1blk/1asst) and Mike Oglesby (7pts/13rebs/4stls/2assts) were the leading men in this game. With :40 seconds to go in the first half the Hawks went on an 8-0 run to close out the half with a 38-29 halftime lead. They never looked back. Bobby Brown had (18pts) for the Tornadoes in defeat.

CJ Panthers (A) 74 - Jersey All-Stars 19

Khamell Broughton (14pts), Dan Ford (12pts) and Wesley George (12pts) had nice efforts in the win over the All-Stars tonight.

Demons 65 - CJ Panthers (B) 60

Devon Watson (23pts/9rebs/1blk/2stls/1asst) was fire tonight for the Demons with a nice all around game. Alex Lambert (13pts) also kept the scoring right for the Demons. Yasir Price (15pts/16rebs/3stls) was tight for the Panthers.

Vince Rosario (16pts) and Tim Brechbueler (14pts/1reb/3blks) knocked the wind out of the Tornadoes (A) group and helped the (B) team pull out the win. Shamar Graves (14pts/8rebs/1blk/1stl/2assts) led the (A) team.

CJ Hawks 53 - Hunterdon Devils 31

David Vespa (14pts/3rebs/4stls/2assts) led the Hawks as they ran by the Devils 53-31 in an easy win tonight. Steve Wilken had (11pts) for Hunterdon.

The Hawks' Brian Kelly (17pts/7rebs/5stls/2assts) was the standout player tonight as the Hawks soared past the Rebels 58-29. Mike Guzman had 14pts/4rebs for the Rebels.

NJ Demons 52 - Hunterdon Devils 43

Alex Lambert (20pts/4rebs/1blk/2assts) was raining 3's from way out tonight. Lambert's 4 3pter's kept breaking the Devils spirits. Chris Vodopia had (22pts/7rebs) for the Devils.

CJ Warriors 62 - NJ All-Stars 31

Aquil Smith (12pts/6rebs/3stls/2assts) and Greg Bayard (12pts/1stl/3assts) were sinkin' em from downtown tonight to lead the Warriors past the All-Stars 62-31. The win keeps the CJ Warriors undefeated in the Spring-SlamFest. Giovanni Carenza also chipped in with (7pts/6rebs/3blks).

The triple threat of Khamell Broughton (10pts/9rebs/2blks/1stl), Khasiff Forstur (14pts/5rebs/2stls) and Igor Shuartsman (12pts/3rebs) put the game away early for the Panthers vs Hunterdon. Ryan Wallace (14pts) and Chris Vodopia (12pts) led Hunterdon.

Central Jersey Hawks 56 - NJ Tornadoes (B) 53

The Hawks' Brian Kelly (13pts/8rebs/1stl) and Michael Oglesby (12pts/3rebs/3stls/1asst) soared as the led the team to it's first win in the Spring-SlamFest! Brian Humphrey (14pts) and Tim Brechbuehire (11pts/10rebs) topped the Tornadoes.

NJ Tornadoes (B) 61 - Central Jersey Panthers (B) 49

In their second game of the evening, the Tornadoes bounced back to defeat the Panthers 61-49. Gio Carenza (11pts/5rebs/1stl/1asst) and Jay Cimino (10pts/1reb/5stls) helped in the win. Yasir Price had 10pts for the Panthers in the loss.

Matt Peters (19pts/1reb/3stls) and Zach Fontana (16pts/10rebs/3stls/2assts) helped put away the All-Stars early in this one. Marc Simko had 12pts for the All-Stars.

Central Jersey Warriors 56- Central Jersey Hawks 49

Aquil Smith (13pts/4rebs/3blks/1stl/1asst) and Gavin Ford's (11pts/3rebs/1stl) monster putback was just enough to ground the Hawks tonight in the most exciting game of the evening. Wesley Cannon had 15pts for the Hawks in the loss.

Runnin' Rebels 48 - Hunterdon AAU 39

Ryan Wallace's (13pts) wasn't enough to get Hunterdon past the Runnin' Rebels as they go down for the second consecutive time 48-39. The Runnin' Rebels were led by Conor Mahoney (10pts/6rebs/1stl) and Aldo Florentine (9pts/4rebs/2blks/1asst).
